Day 13

Day 13 - A Picture of Your favorite Band or Artist Goodness, I love music. It's hard for me to pick a favorite band, but I must say it's Muse.

I've been lucky enough to see them in concert twice and both times have been one of the best times of my life.

Here is Bellamy's gorgeous guitar, Glitterati. I want one so bad. In fact, I don't think a picture alone does them justice. Enjoy this little snippet of Muse as well...

Mushy Songs...

So it's almost Valentine's Day and I feel like it's the one day of the year that I can listen to mushy songs and not feel guilty about it. Okay, I do listen to mushy songs all the time, but that's just a secret between you and me. Anywho, this is my Valentine's Day playlist...

Michael Buble -- Just Haven't Met You Yet

Taylor Swift -- Love Story

Muse -- Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You

Taylor Swift -- Enchanted

Matt Nathanson -- Bent/Such Great Heights

Eric Clapton -- Wonderful Tonight

Ewan McGregor -- Your Song (yes, I'm well aware it was sung by Sir Elton John first)

Foo Fighters -- Everlong

Boys Like Girls -- Hero/Heroine

Cheap Trick -- I Want You To Want Me

Iron & Wine -- Flightless Bird, American Mouth (my ultimate sappy song, despite what the lyrics really mean)

What is on your Valentine's playlist?

Happy Saturday

My Saturday is going to be filled with a good work out, homework, Patch, turkey chilli, and trivia night with my co-workers. Today I need some motivation to get things done...so here's my Saturday play list to do just that.

John Lennon -- Instant Karma

Katy Perry -- Hot N' Cold (just got my tickets to see her with J!)

The Black Crowes -- She Talks to Angels

Paramore -- Brick by Boring Brick (I still love this song to pieces)

Taylor Swift -- Long Live

Death Cab For Cute -- I'll Follow You Into the Dark

Muse -- United States of Eurasia

What's on your Saturday playlist?

Focusing on the good stuff...

Lately, I've been down in the dumps. I'm in some sort of rut and I don't know how to get out of it. I haven't really been wanting to talk to anybody, and I know I've probably let some people down. This is totally uncharacteristic of me. I don't know what's up, and I don't know how to fix it, but I'm going to. Anywho, instead of focusing on the bad stuff, I want to focus on the good...

Like my slip cover that Ashley sent me. Thank you so much!

Pretty floaty glass pods at the botanical gardens.

Drawing on the table clothes at random restaurants.

Yummy surprises from people who love me. Thanks Cathy, Colin, and Caitlin!

And this video. I think it is amazing that you can distinctly recognize Smoochie's and my screaming in this...we're officially louder than amplified rock goodness.

Thanks for bearing with me and this funky mood I'm in. <3

Neutron Star Collision

As ya'll know I'm absolutely obsessed with Muse. I can't tell you how much I love them. Their new song Neutron Star Collision is from the Eclipse soundtrack. Can you believe we only have six more weeks until Eclipse! I can't stinkin' wait. Anywho, the music video premieres from Neutron Star Collision tonight at 8 pm on MTV, but you can watch it on the link above now. Or you could just listen to the song below.

The epicness of Muse!

I love the band Muse. I'm pretty sure anyone who knows me can tell you that. I've been in love with them long before Stephenie Meyer said they were cool (not dissing Stephenie....but just stating the facts). You know when you find that band that just resonates in your soul...well Muse is that band for me. On Saturday, my bestie, the Alice to my Bella, the Smooch to my Goober, my partner in crime, Shannon and I went to see Muse with Silver Sun Pickups. The last time we saw Muse, they opened for U2. We thought that was epic...until this concert. I am one happy girl. I won't bore everyone with detailed pictures from every song, but here's a few...

My dearest Smoochie and I...acting serious for once.

There are no words to say how amazing last night was. I haven't had that much fun in ages. The boys of Muse totally brought there A game. There wasn't a song that I didn't sing my heart out or dance to. There are more up on my facebook if ya'll aren't sick and tired of Muse yet :)
